Puff Hat

I usually give free reign for y'all to use these patterns as you want, but this time I will ask that you do not to use this pattern for profit. The reason is that this is a scaled down human pattern and the original creater asks that people do not sell her hats.

The original pattern can be found HERE.

Hook= G Yarn= Worsted Weight

Ch 4. sc in second chain from hook. sc in next stitch. In last stitch sc 6 times
Now working in the round:
2 sc in each of the 6 SCs
*1 sc, inc 1* continue around
*2 sc, inc 1* continue around
*3 sc, inc 1* continue around
*4 sc, inc 1* continue around
*5 sc, inc 1* continue around
Do the puff st in the round until that hat reaches the length that you would like.

This is the puff stitch:
yo, insert hk in next st, yo, draw up 1/2" long lp. *yo, insert hk in same st, yo, draw up 1/2" long lp* 2 times. yo draw through first 7 lps on hk, ch 1. (I only did the second step once because I wanted to make it less puffy. If you follow the pattern you would get a puffier stitch then the one pictured)

Skip a st inbetween each puff stitch and work in the ch 1 on subsequent rounds.
When it is long as long as you want, you can do a round of hdc to make a cleaner edge. I did not and I think it looks cute this way too. I did 5 rounds of the puff stitch though you could do more or less. It depends on how you crochet. :D Enjoy!
